David Gibbs

Senior Research Scientist

Dr. Gibbs’ research draws from a diverse background including chemistry, computer science, statistics, and bioinformatics to answer questions involving dynamic, complex, time-based biological phenomena. Dr. Gibbs worked on projects aimed at discovering immune related disease signatures integrating data types including genomics, proteomics, and transcriptomics. In ongoing research in immuno-oncology, as part of the Pan-Cancer consortium, over 10,000 tumor samples were used to derive immunological subtypes and characterize the differences in health outcomes. Current work includes contributing to the ISB-CGC Cloud Resource in partnership with the National Cancer Institute, as well as being a contributing developer for the CRI iAtlas, an interactive portal for immuno-oncology results and data.
